Reporting to the Director, ProgramQuality, Professional and Part-time Learning, the Online Course Developer willwork closely with the Curriculum Quality and Development Manager to support thecreation of engaging and effective course materials for the asynchronous onlinecourse: Adult Learning. This course is a part of our Teaching and TrainingAdults Certificate program. Work will be done remotely.
CourseDescription
This course focuses on improving adult learning outcomes in corporateand post-secondary settings by applying evidence-based teaching methods.Learners examine how motivation influences adult learning by consideringfactors such as barriers to participation, learning environments, andinstructional styles. The course explores how motivation shapes decisions abouttechnology choices, communication approaches, the design of effective learningactivities and instructional techniques. Learners also develop practicalcommunication skills to manage challenging behaviours and maintain productivelearning environments in both workplace and academic contexts.
