Job description

You will define and lead the strategy and operations for our content acquisitions function, focused on sourcing, developing, and managing relationships with tax and legal subject matter experts. You will oversee teams responsible for acquiring high-quality expert content, ensuring scalable and compliant acquisition processes, and aligning contributor strategies with evolving customer needs and product priorities.
You will drive a forward-looking acquisitions strategy that adapts to how professionals discover and use content, including AI-enabled research and other technology-driven workflows. You will deepen our understanding of how acquired content delivers measurable customer and business value in these contexts and ensure our acquisitions strategy supports next-generation product experienceYou will also oversee governance, vendor/author lifecycle management, and reporting, while building a high-performing, data-driven acquisitions organization. In addition, you will develop external partnerships and programs that expand our contributor network and position our content to remain authoritative, differentiated, and relevant in an increasingly AI-driven market
What You Will Do:
  • Develop, lead, and coordinate all strategic content initiatives.

  • Increase our understanding of how customers use our content and how we can make it more valuable for them - you may leverage and coordinate existing customer insight opportunities (e.g., customer advisory boards) as well as identify new opportunities.

  • Explore, test and iterate on new content concepts - using data and customer insight to drive decisions in the identification of paths forward on these new content concepts and their measures of success.

  • Improve our reporting processes and metrics so that our team leaders can make informed decisions that drive the greatest value for our customers.

  • Liaise with our commercial teams so they can leverage our content to increase new sales and customer retention.

  • Increase team participation in thought leadership for events and commentary.

  • Develop and oversee our partnerships and programs with industry organizations and universities to drive greater awareness and utilization of Bloomberg INDG's products.

  • May be assigned other related or special tasks or responsibilities according to business needs.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree required. Specialized education, such as a J.D. or graduate degree, preferred.

  • 7 years of experience, at least 3 as a manager.

  • Demonstrated success in solving customer problems in the legal, professional, and financial markets.

  • Experience managing teams and leading large-scale projects."

  • Strong project management skills, ability to manage change and drive a group.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships, influence the direction of content, communicate effectively.

  • Ability to work effectively and independently in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadlines.
  • Comfort working with systems and data; experience with procurement/accounting systems (e.g. Coupa) and project management software (e.g. Atlassian JIRA) is a plus.

Compensation Range:
$130,000.00-$155,000.00
Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process. Salary determination will be determined based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, demonstrated skills related to the requirements of the role, education, certifications, and geographic location.
