As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Shelby County Counseling Center, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities to support our clients effectively:

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans, taking into account their unique histories and circumstances.
• Document all interactions and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools and therapeutic modalities as indicated to support client progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Participate actively in licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring the highest standards of mental health care.
• Serve as a liaison with relevant service systems, state agencies, and community partners to coordinate client care and advocate for client needs.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with local, state, and federal agencies, fostering opportunities for partnerships and funding initiatives.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending conferences and training sessions to stay updated on best practices in mental health care.
• Represent the agency at statewide meetings, task forces, and other forums relevant to mental health initiatives.
• Embrace and promote the agency’s mission, values, and principles through all interactions and clinical practices.
• Complete any additional tasks as requested by the Clinic Director that align with client and organizational goals.
