ELKHART COUNTY GOVERNMENTAL POSITION VACANCY NOTICE

ADULT PROBATION SUPERVISOR

DEPARTMENT:                             Elkhart County Judiciary- Court Services

HIRING RATE:                              Indiana Judicial Conference of Indiana Salary Schedule for Probation Officers plus county supplement

POSITION TO BE FILLED:          ASAP

HOURS & DAYS OF WORK:       Monday- Friday (40 hour work week)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:         Within County (please complete driving page on application)


JOB SUMMARY:
Provides supervision and leadership in the implementation of all probation services, case direction and management of the probation team. Will also be responsible for supervising adult offenders placed on probation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university w/degree in Behavioral Sciences, Social Work, or Criminal Justice
    At least 21 years of age and an American citizen
    Be able to take and pass Indiana Probation Officer Certification Exam and Indiana Risk Assessment System certification from IOCS within six months
    Valid Driver's License
    Proficiency with Windows based programs/electronic case management systems
    Ability to understand Indiana Statutes
    Pre-employment background check and drug screen
