Job description

Description

The State Filings team plays a key role with the implementation of new pricing and products within USRM by preparing, submitting, and assisting in the negotiation of proposed rating, rule, and forms changes through Department of Insurance filings and objection management. 

As a Consultant on the team, you will partner closely across USRM organization to design and implement initiatives targeted at enhancing speed to market. You

will both work independently, and consult and collaborate with others to focus on filing strategy, objection response and avoidance, and Department of Insurance relationship management.  Additionally, this role will focus heavily on implementing solutions using or enhanced with Generative AI technology.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts high complexity analyses under minimal direction to answer advanced business questions, evaluate business performance, identify trends and issues, make actionable recommendations for improvements, and build advanced tools and queries for others to use.
  • Partners with stakeholders to influence process and programs to drive toward Best in Class Delivery, acting as lead liaison for countrywide program roll-outs and providing thoughtful recommendations that influence roll-out decisions and initiatives.
  • Creates and maintains open lines of communication between State Filings team and stakeholder teams on metrics like quality and service level agreement adherence.
  • Independently manages projects of moderate to high complexity. Presents updates, project outcomes, other high complexity analyses and results of country wide initiatives to Product managers.
  • Manages internal technology, vendor, and work-flow resources. Experience building with PowerBI and effective prompt engineering with Generative AI required.
  • Researches data at the state, competitor or countrywide level. Through research, identifies and proposes strategies to increase the speed to market of our product offerings.
  • Analyzes trends and is responsible for tactical and strategic recommendations.
  • SERFF knowledge a plus.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, information management, economics, or other quantitative field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years, typically 6 years or more of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledgeable in data query languages and tools; proficient in new and emerging technologies; may possess data modeling skills.
  • Highly developed communication and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of data concepts, strategies, and methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of data architectures, solutions and designs; extensive knowledge of business operations, strategies and objectives.
  • Highly developed negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills.
