Cross Country Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our dynamic rehabilitation team in Roanoke, Virginia. The successful Physical Therapist will work onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in the heart of Roanoke. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions to develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific needs.
  • Utilize a diverse range of therapeutic techniques, including exercise regimens, manual therapy, and technological support, to assist patients in reducing pain and improving mobility.
  • Document each patient's progress in detail, ensuring a clear record of treatments and outcomes, which aids in ongoing care and coordination with other healthcare professionals.
  • Regularly reassess therapeutic goals and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness and alignment with patients' evolving needs.
  • Guide and educate patients and their families on exercise techniques, assistive devices, and self-care practices to foster independence in their recovery journey.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field of physical therapy through continuous education, professional workshops, and participation in relevant societies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes individuals of all ages with various medical backgrounds including post-operative recovery, orthopedic injuries, neuromuscular disorders, and chronic pain conditions. This diverse clientele requires a therapist who can skillfully tailor treatments to the unique circumstances of each patient, all while instilling hope and encouragement throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications
  • Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
  • A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy.
  • At least two years of experience in a clinical physical therapy setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Proven proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records and other relevant technology.
  • A high degree of flexibility and the ability to adapt to diverse patient needs.
Preferred Experience

While prior specific experience in home care is not mandatory, applicants with comprehensive knowledge of varied physical therapy methodologies or previous roles in rehabilitation settings will be valued.
