Job description:

GranitePro is hiring an experienced Countertop Template Technician (templater / field measure technician) to capture precise laser templates for granite, quartz, and marble countertops across Maryland and Southern PA.

We're a stone fabrication company with showrooms in Eldersburg and Columbia. We fabricate at our own facility and install with our own crews — no middlemen, no chaos. You'll run your own daily route, work independently in the field, and be the technical eyes of every job before it hits the shop.

What You'll Do:

  • Capture digital templates using laser measuring equipment (2D3D Laser Products system)
  • Complete work orders with all measurements, edge profiles, cutouts, radiuses, and customer specs
  • Resolve missing job details (faucet, cooktop, sink specs) with the customer or jobsite supervisor on site
  • Walk customers through the template and installation process
  • Produce photo documentation and a reference file for each measure
  • Prepare and submit DXF files for fabrication at the end of each day
  • Communicate job details to programming, operations, and production on a timely basis
  • Turn in completed paperwork with job folders the following morning


What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of digital templating experience in stone countertops
  • 2D3D Laser Products experience strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to template independently and manage your own daily route
  • Knowledge of kitchen and bath cabinet design/layout
  • Ability to read blueprints and a tape measure, and work in fractions
  • Sharp attention to detail — your measurements drive the entire fabrication process
  • Strong customer service skills; you're in customers' homes daily
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Background check required
  • Able to climb stairs and ladders, lift, squat, and stand for extended periods
