Job Description
Prescient Edge is seeking a Mid Cyber Counterintelligence Desk Officer/ Counterintelligence Specialist to support a Federal government client.
As a Mid Cyber Counterintelligence Desk Officer/ Counterintelligence Specialist, you will:
  • Support the Cyber Coordination Division, which provides advice and assistance to INSCOM staff and supporting units regarding the full spectrum of cyber CI investigations, operations, and collection missions
  • Research emerging cyber-related methodologies, tradecraft, tools, and procedures used by Foreign Intelligence Entities (FIE) and Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO) against U.S. Army equities and develop information papers for leadership
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge in all aspects involving sensitive investigations and operations involving networks, computers, and digital media
  • Mentor and support inspections of subordinate units in the appropriate methods to collect, store, and process digital evidence
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how computer and Internet-based applications can be used to facilitate national security crimes such as espionage or terrorism
  • Use oral and written communication skills in order to conduct briefings and discussions with internal and external senior leadership and to author memoranda and finished intelligence products
  • Compile and disseminate metrics capturing cyber CI activities in support of investigations, collections, and operations
  • Exercise knowledge of key U.S. Intelligence and Law Enforcement community resources to identify and obtain relevant information and effect any necessary coordination for cyber-related events

  • Must be a graduate of any of the following Military Department Courses:
    • Army - 35L Course (or its predecessor)
    • Army - 351L Course (or its predecessor)
    • Army - Counterintelligence Special Agent Course (CISAC)
    • Air Force - Basic Special Investigators Course (BISC), U.S. Air Force Special Investigations Academy, or predecessor
    • Navy - Special Agent Basic Training Program (SABTB), Naval Criminal Investigative Service Training Academy, or predecessor
  • Must be a graduate of all the following Joint Counterintelligence Training Academy/Activity (JCITA) or Defense Cyber Investigations Training Academy (DCITA) Courses:
    • JCITA - CI Investigations in a Cyber Environment
    • DCITA - Windows Forensics Examinations (Encase of FTK)
    • DCITA - Forensic Intrusions in a Windows Environment (FIWE) Minimum of 10 years of experience as a credentialed Counterintelligence Special Agent
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a credentialed Counterintelligence Special Agent
  • Must understand CI investigations, fundamentals of cyber counterintelligence, and FIE TTPs
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Ability to clearly express oneself verbally
  • Ability to write in a clear, concise manner
  • Understanding of the military decision making process and how HUMINT supports operations
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to travel across the globe (TDY)

  • Demonstrated working knowledge using complex analytic methodologies, such as structured analytic techniques or alternative approaches, to examine biases, assumptions, and theories to eliminate uncertainty, strengthen analytic arguments, and mitigate surprise. Structured analytic techniques include, but are not limited to, analysis of competing hypotheses, devil's advocacy, high-impact/ low-impact analysis, red team analysis and alternative futures analysis
  • Demonstrated understanding of intelligence collection capabilities and limitations, to include but not limited to, technical sensors/platforms and human intelligence sources related to the position
  • Demonstrated understanding of evaluating collected intelligence reporting, engaging with collection managers, and developing collection requirements
  • Demonstrated comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirms completion of all developmental training and experiences for the labor category.
