Job description

SUMMARY
GTS is looking for their next Counter Sales position at our Basalt location! Our counter salespeople in a branch must be multi-talented to service trade accounts and retail sales. In addition, they are often required to make suggestions and trouble shoot in the application of plumbing and heating products. $1,500.00 sign-on bonus!!! $500.00 paid after 30 days and $1,000.00 paid after 90 days!
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform all sales and operational functions at the store sales counter, including order processing, product application, pricing, and order fulfillment.
Assist our customers with sales, questions on products, and other information as needed, with prompt, friendly, and professional service.
Assist customers and other sales associates by pulling orders.
Understand and use all cross-reference materials and technical manuals.
Process orders and returns and fill out all necessary paperwork neatly and correctly.
Handle customer phone sales and questions.
Clean and organize showroom, counter area, restrooms, and customer areas as needed.
This position requires an individual who works well in a team environment to build positive relationships with repeat plumbing and HVAC customers.
During busy times the role may act as a runner and focus on pulling orders exclusively.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Branch Manager in administrative duties such as cash reports and sorting the daily invoices.
Assist Warehouse by loading and unloading trucks, order fulfillment, inventory control, and warehouse cleanup.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Computer skills
  • Experience in the trades a plus
