Job description

Counter Sales & Will Call Associates at Famous Supply provide superior customer service in person and over the phone, the Famous Way. In this role, you help contractor customers quickly get the materials they need so they can return to their jobs, including fulfilling and preparing orders for the Express Will Call Counter.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Deliver friendly, helpful customer service
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions
  • Process, schedule, and manage customer orders, open orders, and bids
  • Pull and prepare orders from the warehouse for customers
  • Ensure Will Call orders are fulfilled accurately and ready for pickup within 30 minutes
  • Handle products with care to prevent damage
  • Operate equipment such as an order picker (including at high heights) to retrieve items
  • Assist customers at the counter and Will Call area efficiently
  • Maintain clean, organized counter and Will Call areas

Required Skills & Experience
  • HVAC and/or plumbing knowledge
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to stand for most of an 8-hour shift
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
