We are seeking a School-Based Mental Health Counselor to join our team in collaboration with The Palm Beach County School Board. The ideal candidate will provide mental health counseling services to students in a school setting, addressing a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues. Responsibilities include conducting individual and group therapy sessions, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with school staff and parents to support student well-being. The School-Based Mental Health Counselor will also participate in crisis intervention and prevention efforts, as well as provide psychoeducation and support services to promote mental health awareness within the school community.

Skills:
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • Must be a Registered Intern
  • Non-Licensed or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida
  • Experience providing mental health counseling services to children and adolescents
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and community partners
