Aspirus Ironwood Clinic in Ironwood, MI is seeking a Counselor-Clinical Therapist to join our team!
Provides outpatient counseling services to patients, groups, or families regarding psychological, emotional, or behavioral problems. The provider will evaluate the patient, group or families and will develop and implement a therapeutic treatment plan. Provide referrals and community contacts as appropriate. Manage caseload documentation in accordance with all regulatory requirements, coding and billing requirements, and organization policies. Participate as a team member of the system Behavioral Health program.
HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period. Day shift only. This position is considered "hybrid" between onsite/remote.
Experience/Qualifications
  • Knowledge of counseling/psychotherapy techniques and protocols normally acquired through completion of a master's degree in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, community counseling, educational counseling, substance use, or professional counseling.
  • Mental Health and/or Substance Use work experience preferred.
  • One year of direct EAP counseling and/or assessment and referral experience preferred.
  • One year of direct incarcerated/jail counseling setting experience preferred.
  • Membership in a professional organization is beneficial.
  • Required License: Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or affiliated training licenses, (APSW, LPC-IT). Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC), Substance Abuse Counselor - In Training (SAC-IT) or Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC.)

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, multi-specialty clinic, satellite clinic in Wisconsin, surgical clinic, walk-in clinic and a home health agency. Ironwood's service area covers approximately 30,000 people. The hospital has a 4 bed ICU, 3 bed OB unit, and 4 surgical units. The emergency department is staffed 24/7 with ER physicians, with approximately 12,000 visits annually. The hospital's inpatient census is 10 patients per day. The outpatient clinic has over 50,000 visits annually.
