Location Omaha, NE Requisition Number: Staff_14656 Department MMI Genetic Medicine 50000694 Business Unit Munroe-Meyer Institute Reg-Temp Full-Time Regular Work Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM; Hours May Vary Remote/Telecommuting No remote/telecommuting opportunity Position Summary The genetic counseling assistant (GCA) will work closely with and under direct supervision of genetic counselors and medical geneticists who serve patients with and at risk for inherited medical conditions. This could include involvement with the Pediatric and Adult Genetics Clinics, hospital consults, and out-state genetics clinics.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: assisting in case preparation, coordinating follow-up with patients and lab personnel, contacting patients to document health and family history, completing documentation required for genetic testing and managing a list of pending genetic test results.
