Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, ensuring comprehensive documentation from the initial consultation through the conclusion of treatment.
  • Evaluate and diagnose clients' conditions using evidence-based techniques and provide detailed feedback on their progress throughout the treatment plan.
  • Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans targeted toward individuals, families, and groups, ensuring that treatment goals are both specific and measurable.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing extensive counseling techniques suited to the specific needs of clients, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness strategies.
  • Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans based on their evolving needs and feedback, maintaining open communication with clients as they progress on their journey to recovery.
  • Collaborate with fellow mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create and implement comprehensive intervention strategies.
  • Stay in contact with external healthcare providers for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring seamless transitions and continued support.
  • Assist clients' family members and primary caregivers by providing guidance on how to navigate mental health challenges and improve the emotional well-being of the entire support system.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families dealing with various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Successfully passed the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience in a mental health counseling role.
