Job description

Job Summary:
Freedom Technology Solutions Group, LLC is seeking a COTS Integration Engineer to support essential services and mission-critical activities across the government enterprise. The role involves collaborating with vendor support to troubleshoot issues, support software upgrades, and engage with government leadership to streamline business processes and optimize workflows.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with vendor support, including Hyland Software support teams, to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and support software upgrades and enhancements within the Perceptive Content platform
• Opportunity to grow into systems administration and systems engineering responsibilities while supporting an enterprise Perceptive Content environment.
• Gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise workflow and document management solutions used in mission-critical Government operations
• Exposure to a broad range of responsibilities, including help desk support, technical troubleshooting, workflow improvements, vendor coordination, testing, and operational support
• Work closely with customers to streamline business processes, optimize workflows, and ensure reliable system performance across the environment
• Participate in testing activities, including system validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), to support successful deployments and functionality verification
• Engage with Government leadership and stakeholders to gather priorities, provide status updates, and maintain effective communication across technical and functional teams
• Translate user and mission requirements into workflow improvements.
• Communicate technical dependencies, risks, issues, and impediments to the broader technical team to support informed decision-making and delivery planning
• Manage assigned tasks and projects independently while maintaining strong collaboration and coordination with cross-functional team members
• Support day-to-day operational activities, troubleshooting, documentation, and customer support efforts in a dynamic production environment
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and support the Perceptive Content product suite, with training and product-specific knowledge transfer provided by the team as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
• TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of software development/engineering experience and 2 years supporting a specific COTS technology (Windows, Java, SQL/SQL Server). Seven years of experience may substitute for a degree
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving COTS technology issues
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation
• Strong interest in system engineering or administration
• Excellent communication skills with team members, customers, and Government stakeholders
• Willingness to learn new technologies and COTS products
• Ability to complete Perceptive Content/Installer certification through Hyland within six months
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with the team
Preferred:
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Proficient with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience with Perceptive Content or other content/workflow management systems
