Job Summary: COTA, 13-week assignment.

Position: CHS Travel: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (917844)

Position Information:

The COTA under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist, implements plan for occupational services to patients. These services include structured treatments and documentation of patient’s functional status. The COTA also participates in discharge planning activities, performs administrative duties, and performs other duties as assigned.

Shift: 8/5's (0700-1530), 2 weekends days per month, consider Sun-Thu.  

Must have BLS  & OTA AZ License

  • Setting(s): Inpatient Rehab with float to acute care as needed- will orient in both settings with primary setting in IRF

  • Min amt of experience for consideration: Needs inpatient experience either, IRF, SNF or acute care prefer 2 years

  • Latest start date for consideration: May 12

  • # of other therapists on staff: 6 OT's (OTA's and OT's) 6 PT's (PTA, PT) 2 SLP

  • Caseload/patient scheduling info: 7am-3:30 pm: patients from 7-8, 830-12, 1-230. Mostly individual treatments, intermittent groups of 2-4 but not regularly

  • Productivity expectations: 6 hours of patient care in an 8 hour day

  • COVID vax requirement: Not required but will need a declination
