Position Summary
Processes Ready To Eat (RTE) Hot Dogs, including packaging, for delivery to Costco warehouse stores in food courts and for shelf retail product.
Job Duties
  • Operates equipment controls, maintains production line consistency, work flow, and efficiency.
  • Assists staff with quality control tests, including temperature, weight, and solid seal checks. Monitors staff in their completion of tasks, and directs as needed.
  • Responds to changes in the equipment of the production line as needed, solving equipment malfunctions causing production problems.
  • Machine Setup: Wipes down wet surfaces, loads film rolls into place with film lift equipment, may have to manipulate film roll manually up to 4-5 times per shift. Sets up multiple rapid pack guards and stainless steel doors covering film and tooling. Sets up carts and luggers needed for rework. The PM shift will breakdown all described equipment at the end of the shift to prepare for sanitation of the department.
  • Assists staff with general housekeeping tasks such as lifting tubs of hot dogs onto rolling carts and positioning carts into place.
  • Continually assures the quality and appearance of meat products, inspects line machine operation, and visually inspects to ensure quality and consistency. Corrects product errors when necessary.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety of machinery in the work area.
  • Responsible for food safety, quality and consistency of product produced.
  • Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
  • Assists with department duties as necessary.
  • Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
