Job description

Position Summary
As a member of the IT Management Team, you are responsible for the management, development, and strategic leadership of your team. This includes overseeing performance, managing deliverables, and ensuring the development and execution of the team's strategic vision and plan. Your leadership must ensure that all team actions are fully aligned with the larger goals of the company and the IT Division.
The SAP Governance & Compliance Manager is a senior IT leadership role responsible for managing and evolving Costco's SAP GRC, SAP Compliance, and SAP Change Control capabilities across both US and EU landscapes. This highly visible position sits at the intersection of IT governance, regulatory compliance, and enterprise security, partnering closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and EU counterparts to ensure all SAP ITGC controls are operating effectively and that compliance obligations are met at scale.
As a member of the IT Management Team, you will lead a dedicated team, oversee strategic program deliverables, and serve as a key voice in shaping the future-state of SAP risk and governance across Costco's global operations. You will champion innovation, drive automation, and foster a culture of trust, open communication, and continuous improvement.
As the primary conduit between your employees and upper leadership, your role in communicating and modeling the values and guiding principles of our company culture is of vital importance. All members of IT Management should strive to consciously and consistently foster a culture of engagement, trust, and "open door" communication.
Job Duties/Essential Functions

  • Maintains budgeting and portfolio finances.
  • Travels occasionally based on business needs.

Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications
Required:
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP Change Management and transport governance
  • 3+ years in IT operations, application management, or business team leadership
  • 3+ years in business relationship management, including executive-level stakeholders
  • Demonstrated knowledge of information security frameworks, ITGC controls, and compliance methodologies
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage large-scale, concurrent SAP programs
  • Strong communication skills across technical, business, and senior leadership audiences

Recommended:
  • Experience with SAP GRC, S/4HANA and SAP Security
  • Background in global SAP rollouts, including EU or multi-region programs
  • Familiarity with defining, reporting, and remediating compliance metrics and risks
  • Experience developing long-term strategic plans and driving team goal achievement
  • Ability to operate as a self-starter under limited supervision
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Gmail)
  • One year or more of tenure in current role (for internal candidates)

Pay Range: - $137,000 - $200,000, Bonus and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) eligible
