Position Overview: We are seeking an entry-level associate for Workers' Compensation to join our expanding team in our brand new Downtown Chicago (Loop) headquarters. As part of our innovative firm, you'll have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in Workers' Compensation law to drive positive outcomes for clients while contributing to our firm's growth and success. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn in one of the best firms in the Chicago area.
Compensation- 3+ years of experience $120,000 - $140,000 DOE
Responsibilities
• Manage a diverse caseload of Workers' Compensation matters, providing comprehensive legal representation to clients throughout all stages of the claims process.
• Conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and prepare for hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with clients, medical professionals, and expert witnesses to build strong cases and achieve favorable outcomes.
• Stay informed about developments in Workers' Compensation law, industry trends, and best practices, and share insights with colleagues to enhance firm-wide knowledge and capabilities.
• Utilize innovative approaches and technologies to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and deliver exceptional service to clients.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure seamless case management and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois State Bar and in good standing.
• Strong litigation skills, including excellent courtroom demeanor and persuasive oral advocacy.
• Exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
