Job description

KI is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Finance team at our Corporate Office in Green Bay. This Accounting Manager position will focus on supporting and leading cost accounting responsibilities with a team of direct reports. 

Within your responsibilities, you will oversee tactical and operational aspects of financial processes, develop and maintain efficient procedures, monitor and analyze financial results from KI’s manufacturing operations, and mentor your team of direct reports. Experience with cost accounting principles is preferred, however if you do not have a background in cost accounting, you must be able and willing to develop this knowledge within the first year of employment.  

Integral to the role is frequent interaction with manufacturing, various corporate department leaders and team members in the Finance department.  Up to 10% local travel to Northeastern Wisconsin facilities, as well as the ability to travel to facilities outside of Wisconsin may be possible. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 
  • 5+ years of management experience.  
  • CMA or CPA credentials are preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with GAAP, accounting operations, month-end/year-end responsibilities, and financial reporting. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication and computer skills, including advanced Excel knowledge and experience with query tools, is required.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing industry/environment is preferred.
