Job Description
What you'll do:
โ€ข Uncover what our customers are thinking and turn those insights into the best-in-class user experience
โ€ข Lead concept ideation and iteration with sketching, wireframe development, and prototypes
โ€ข Design elegant solutions to complex workflows
โ€ข Collaborate with product management and executives to prioritize the product roadmap
โ€ข Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs to stakeholders
โ€ข Collaborate with visual designers to maintain design consistency and coherence across the product as appropriate, collaborate with a product focused User Researcher to aid in the conduct generative and evaluative research as needed
โ€ข Work on features and products through their entire lifecycle: user research, competitive analysis, product definition, usability testing, launch, and beyond
โ€ข Integrate UX research and design into our agile development process
Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, MS preferred
  • 4+ years experience, consumer electronics product development
  • Experience with high volume, highly cosmetic electronics enclosure materials and manufacturing processes
  • Experience integrating electromechanical component modules (audio, display, battery, antenna, PCB's, etc.)
  • Strong 3D CAD skills (ProE preferred) including top-down design, robust parametric modelling, and advanced surface generation
  • Product validation experience (UL, FCC, environmental testing, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with shop tools and prototyping
  • Demonstrated project leadership and mentoring skills
