Job description

Morbark LLC located in Winn, Michigan is looking for a Cycle Counter. Morbark LLC offers competitive compensation and a variety of benefits including:

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, establishes inventory accuracy through the process of cycle counting. Verifies counts and supporting transactions to determine inventory accuracy.
Essential Functions of the Job:
  1. Verifies the accuracy of W.I.P. (Work in Progress) counts through a physical count and by performing an analysis of work order transactions.
  2. Provides support with warehouse functions when required.
  3. Corrects and consolidates bin inventories and locations.
  4. Enters and posts cycle count results to the cycle count programs.
  5. Operates order picker when needed to pull product.
  6. Investigates negative inventory balances, determines root causes, influences corrective solutions and corrects the inventory count.
  7. Investigates inventory problems and potential inventory problems upon request from Purchasing, Production & Inventory Control, Accounting, etc.
  8. Communicates problems and potential problems to the appropriate Manager/supervisor, and assists in developing corrective solutions and verifies results through follow-up counts and audits.
  9. May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
  1. Knowledge of Morbark products and/or processes preferred.
  2. Good communications skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate with various levels with the organization.
  3. Ability to coordinate multiple activities.
  4. Computer data entry skills required.
  5. Problem solving and troubleshooting skills required.
  6. Ability to compute manual and mechanical calculations

Education and Experience:
  1. High School diploma (or GED) required
  2. Minimum 4 years previous stocking, warehouse or inventory control experience required.

Working Conditions:
  1. Ability to lift, push or pull up to 35 pounds alone and greater than 35 pounds with assistance.
  2. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 8+ hours) as required by tasks being completed.
  3. Ability to wear appropriate PPE, including hearing/eye protection, gloves and safety shoes.
  4. Must be able to work overtime as needed to complete job assignments.
  5. Ability to work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing plant environment.
  6. Must be able to work in confined spaces.
  7. Must be able to tolerate heights.
  8. Frequent walking, bending, stooping, reaching and climbing as required by tasks being completed.
