Working as our Corporate Risk & Insurance Manager, you will lead and oversee enterprise-wide insurance and risk programs across a large, multi-location automotive organization. This role partners closely with executive leadership, legal, operations, and external brokers and carriers. The ideal candidate brings deep commercial insurance expertise, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to risk strategy but is also not afraid to roll up their sleeves and handle the details.

Corporate Risk & Insurance Manager Job Responsibilities
  • Lead annual insurance renewals across all lines of coverage and manage broker and carrier relationships
  • Oversee complex and high-value insurance claims from intake through resolution
  • Manage Statements of Values (SOVs) to ensure accuracy and coverage alignment across dealership locations
  • Oversee Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance
  • Analyze loss runs and claims trends to identify risk exposure and mitigation opportunities
  • Develop and execute risk-financing strategies, including deductibles, retentions, and alternative structures
  • Lead accident review and root-cause analysis processes, partnering with operational teams on corrective actions
  • Support enterprise risk initiatives and cross-departmental projects as needed

Location: Remote, based out of CA or the Pacific Northwest
Hybrid/In-Office options if based out of Orange County, CA or Portland, OR

Corporate Risk & Insurance Manager Qualifications
  • Multi-store automotive dealership experience required
  • Extensive experience in risk management and commercial insurance
  • Demonstrable expertise in insurance renewals, claims management, and loss run analysis
  • Strong knowledge of SOV and COI management best practices
  • Good general understanding of consumer law, employment law, legal liability and garage operations
  • Experience developing and executing risk-financing strategies
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with brokers, carriers, and senior leadership
