The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Analyst, Corporate Planning & Analysis reporting to the Manager, Corporate Planning & Analysis.

Position is onsite and based in Miami, FL 

The Senior Analyst, Corporate Planning & Analysis, is a curious, analytical problem-solver who thrives on answering high-impact, sometimes ambiguous business questions. This role delivers ad-hoc and recurring analyses, develops clear insights and recommendations, and builds simple, decision-ready stories that help leaders understand what is happening, why it is happening, and what to do next. The role also supports core planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities for Royal Caribbean Group. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Investigate high-priority business questions through ad-hoc analyses (e.g., deep dives, driver/variance analysis, scenario modeling) and synthesize clear insights.
  • Develop hypotheses, test them with data, and iterate quickly-bringing a high level of curiosity and strong attention to detail.
  • Partner with stakeholders across brands and functions to frame problems, clarify assumptions, and translate business needs into analytical approaches.
  • Analyze operational and financial KPIs to identify trends, explain performance drivers, and flag risks/opportunities.
  • Create concise reporting summaries and presentation materials used in leadership reviews, focusing on the key story, drivers, and implications.
  • Build, maintain, and improve analytical models, templates, and trackers to support consistent analysis and data quality.
  • Support cross-functional workstreams by structuring analyses, synthesizing inputs, and tracking action items to drive timely follow-through on high-priority initiatives.
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities and recommend practical actions based on data and business context.
  • Track initiative progress and support updates by consolidating inputs, highlighting variances to plan, and surfacing decisions needed.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative techniques to assess business issues and distill them into a clear narrative, key insights, and recommended next steps.
  • Manage multiple requests by scoping, prioritizing, and delivering analyses on tight timelines.
  • Collaborate effectively across levels and functions, building trust through responsiveness, clarity, and follow-through.
  • Analyses frequently support high-visibility topics senior leadership cares about and may span multiple brands and functions.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting from a 4-year university
  • Master's degree in finance, MBA and/or CFA preferred
  • 2+ years experience in financial analysis/FP&A (or related analytical role), preferably in a large, complex organization
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Resourceful self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate analysis into clear, audience-appropriate takeaways
  • Effective collaborator and relationship builder with sound interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly across different audiences
  • Able to work independently with guidance; exercises sound judgment and escalates appropriately
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical and business writing
  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase/SmartView and Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM Planning (EPBCS) preferred
  • Advanced in use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Solid understanding of accounting rules
  • Aptitude for translating complex, technical subjects into clear, business-oriented communications
  • Takes accountability for high-quality deliverables; manages timelines and execution of assigned workstreams
  • Demonstrates a wide degree of creativity with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge and experience in a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures, including project planning and prioritization
