Pay: $80,000k-$85,000k annually
Location: Plainfield, Indiana - willingness to travel to other area locations as required

Sr. Environmental Health & Safety Specialist
Lead the site implementation of Corporate developed environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs and systems. Ensure safe, healthy and environmentally friendly working conditions, recommend measures to reduce or eliminate industrial incidents and health hazards in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. Review, revise and/or develop new EHS programs. Provide compliance oversight or significant compliance responsibility at Indianapolis-area warehouse operations. Some travel to sites within region.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead the implementation of corporate Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs across fulfillment and warehouse operations in partnership with site leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety and environmental standards by conducting site assessments, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Investigate incidents, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions to reduce workplace injuries and environmental risks.
  • Serve as the EHS subject matter expert (SME) by developing, revising, and implementing EHS programs while providing technical guidance to operations, engineering, and facilities teams.
  • Develop compliance assurance plans, support environmental reporting, travel to regional sites, and participate in special projects as needed.

Job Knowledge & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5-7 years of EHS experience, or an equivalent combination of education and applicable experience.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations, including experience with compliance reporting (Tier II, Form R, air emissions, water discharge) and environmental permitting.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex problems, prioritize competing responsibilities, and implement effective, compliant solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence leaders, train employees, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other technical tools; CIH, CSP, or CPE certifications are preferred.
