Corewell Health Primary Care - Dowagiac, is seeking a dynamic full-time Family Medicine physician to join our growing primary care team in Southwest Michigan. If you are looking for a place to build a practice and form those lasting patient relationships, we encourage you to apply.

Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine. Compensation package includes a two-year salary guarantee with the opportunity to bonus based on productivity and a generous starting bonus!

Appointments of 15 or 30 minutes include; acutes, follow ups, physical exams, new patients, pediatric care, paps and pelvics. The team includes 3 providers, 1 physician and 2 APPs. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm. No weekends. Corewell Health utilizes EPIC as our EHR.

Fluency dictation available. We are also excited to offer Abridge, a generative AI platform for clinical conversations, which allows you to focus on your patients and improve efficiency. We also provide Inboxologist services. Our Inboxologists are Physician Assistants who help manage the Physician and APP inboxes, so you can focus on patient care.

Essential Functions

  • Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.

  • Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.

  • Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.

  • Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.

  • Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.

  • Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.

  • Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient/family advocate.

  • Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.

  • Actively works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.
