Primary purpose of the position:
The primary purpose of the Manager, Regional Core and Emerging Accounts is to oversee and nurture relationships with multiple key accounts (5-7) within a designated region. This role is pivotal in driving sales growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving business objectives through strategic account management and exceptional service delivery.
Essential Responsible Areas:
  • Account Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships and execute strategic plans within assigned accounts, leveraging market insights and customer relationships to identify opportunities to drive mutual growth of revenue, share and volume.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Operate as the primary point of contact for contracted customers, cultivating and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner in line with company standards and processes.
  • Negotiation:
    • Lead or support contract negotiations and renewals(based on contract size / complexity), ensuring favorable terms for both the company and the customer
    • Negotiate settlements for large claims (e.g., quality disputes, obsolete inventory)
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Develop accurate sales forecasts and monitor progress against financial targets, identifying areas for improvement or adjustment.
  • Product Knowledge and Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the company's portfolio of offerings to effectively communicate value propositions and address customer needs.
  • Market Analysis and Intelligence: Funnel market intel, including industry trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities, to internal strategy and business development teams to inform sales strategies and tactics.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams such as supply chain, quality, AR, finance, and marketing to coordinate efforts and deliver seamless customer experiences from inquiry to delivery.
  • Issue Resolution: Escalate and resolve supply assurance issues in partnership with supply chain teams.
  • Inventory Management Support: Support Customer Success Management team in resolving slow-moving and obsolete inventory issues with key accounts, implementing strategies to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Proactive Resource Management: Anticipate challenges and opportunities such as shortages, downtime, new product configurations, and dynamic customer needs to proactively manage internal resources to drive prioritization and maximized results.
  • Contracts: Ensure compliance of all contracts.

Position Requirement & Competencies:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years' experience
  • 2+ years' experience of customer and/or commercial exposure in B2B and or B2C environments
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport, communicate and influence others, work cross functionally
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data and develop strategic plans
  • Contract Negotiation experience
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of the company's products, services, and the industry
  • Customer Service Skills: Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
  • 20% - 30% travel

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). [Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.]
  • Hiring Salary Range: $98,900 - $141,330 (Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
