Job Summary:

Manages the commercial lending process for loan applicants, ensuring that interviews are conducted appropriately and that necessary financial information is on hand for efficient loan processing. Promotes the financial institution and its lending services to the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews, analyzes and processes commercial loan requests and packages loans as necessary, in keeping with financial institution policies and procedures.
  • Recommends conditions and terms of commercial loans.
  • Provides input to management in order to streamline and improve loan services for the benefit of the customer and the financial institution.
  • Provides loan status reports to management and departmental statistics on financial institution loan products.
  • Offers recommendations and actions to improve loan strategies when necessary.
  • Interviews loan applicants, as well as obtains and compiles necessary financial information to process loans.
  • Participates in local business and community activities.
  • Understand your role as defined by the three lines of defense to maintain a compliance culture that includes risk management processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Essential experience/skills necessary to perform the role
  • Bachelors degree in business, finance or related area.
  • One to two years of experience in a financial institution, loan department or similar area.
  • Knowledge of financial institution policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of commercial lending practices and related areas.
  • Good managerial, communication and public relations skills.
  • Good sales, organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend training materials, financial institution communications and related loan manuals.
  • Completes appropriate career level training identified by manager.
