We have immediate opportunity for a part-time Evening Receptionist to join our team!

The Evening Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and community members, so that each person’s experience is positive and seamless from entry to exit. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of the organization by managing front desk activities, handling communications, and assisting staff. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and committed to CORA’s mission.

SCHEDULE: Monday - Thursday from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

PAY RATE: $18.00 per hour

All CORA team members are expected to uphold the mission, vision and values of CORA Services which includes valuing all individuals and supporting each individual’s potential for growth.

In addition, as an Evening Receptionist some of your duties will include:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a calm, welcoming environment that is conducive to receiving services and maintains confidentiality and sensitivity
  • Provide courteous and knowledgeable assistance to callers; answer, screen and transfer calls using a multi-line phone system
  • Receive and respond to emails and web queries, providing accurate information about programs, services, and resources
  • Greet and promptly assist all clients and visitors; check-in clients and inform service provider of client’s arrival
  • Maintain accurate records utilizing digital EHR software
  • Schedule appointments and manage Room schedules for staff, clients and events
  • Maintain security and safety, adhering to all policies and procedures, and controlling access via the reception desk in coordination with the Safety Officer
  • Anticipate and address client/visitor concerns after they escalate
  • Practice de-escalation in the lobby area as needed
  • Ensure reception desk and lobby are tidy and presentable
  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing or processing mail and deliveries
  • Proactively communicate with program and administrative staff to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Address concerns promptly; escalate issues to Lead Receptionist as necessary
  • Assist with building closure procedures, in coordination with the Safety Officer
  • Support special events, outreach efforts, and community programs as needed
  • Cover remote reception duties using provided laptop and software when CORA building is closed due to inclement weather or other special circumstances
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma/GED required.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • 2+ years of office experience required; receptionist experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated punctuality and reliability
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain high confidentiality
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients and visitors
  • Ability to work with diverse populations in a respectful and inclusive manner
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Forms) and basic office equipment
