Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

  • Write and optimize Amazon product titles, feature bullets, product descriptions, A+ Content, Brand Story content, storefront copy, comparison charts, FAQs, and DTC product pages.
  • Translate product specifications and technical information into clear, persuasive messaging that highlights functional and emotional benefits, differentiators, and credible reasons to believe.
  • Create brand-aligned copy for landing pages, paid media, email, SMS, social media, retail materials, video scripts, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Ensure product copy is accurate, customer-focused, consistent with brand standards, and compliant with marketplace requirements; partner with Creative to align copy and visuals.
  • Audit and refresh existing listings to improve content quality, search visibility, customer understanding, and conversion while developing scalable templates and messaging frameworks across categories.
  • Apply SEO and GEO best practices across ecommerce content using keyword research, customer search behavior, competitive insights, and marketplace data to improve discoverability while maintaining readability and brand voice.
  • Develop authoritative content optimized for Amazon, traditional search engines, and AI-powered discovery platforms while identifying opportunities to strengthen content performance.
  • Partner early in product development and go-to-market planning to define product positioning, messaging hierarchies, customer value propositions, and launch strategies.
  • Develop product names, taglines, headlines, campaign concepts, launch messaging, and product storytelling tailored by audience, product category, channel, and stage of the customer journey.
  • Partner with Marketing, Channel Operations, Creative, Product Development, and other cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, high-performing content on schedule.
  • Analyze content performance, customer feedback, search behavior, and competitive insights to improve messaging, strengthen product education, and develop copy variations.
  • Help evolve the company's brand voice, copy guidelines, terminology standards, product naming conventions, and messaging frameworks across channels.
  • Partner with internal AI and Software Engineering teams to guide the development of proprietary AI copywriting tools while evaluating and refining AI-generated content to ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4+ years of professional copywriting experience in ecommerce, DTC, consumer products, retail, advertising, or an in-house creative environment, including experience developing Amazon listings, A+ Content, and product detail pages.
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong product storytelling and conversion-focused copy across Amazon and other digital channels with an understanding of Amazon content structure, customer shopping behavior, and marketplace conversion best practices.
  • Working knowledge of SEO, GEO, keyword research, search intent, and content optimization for traditional and AI-powered search.
  • Strong conceptual and strategic copywriting skills with the ability to translate technical product information into persuasive, benefit-driven messaging while adapting voice across audiences, channels, and product categories.
  • Excellent editing, proofreading, research, project management, collaboration, and communication skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience using AI-powered writing and research tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, or similar) with the ability to critically evaluate, refine, and improve AI-generated content while maintaining originality, accuracy, and brand voice.
  • Experience with home, outdoor living, toys, furniture, lifestyle, or other feature-rich consumer product categories; Amazon Seller Central/Vendor Central, listing optimization platforms, keyword research tools, CMS/DAM platforms, A/B testing, and marketplace compliance is preferred.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $72k-$85k USD annually. You will also be eligible to participate in BCP’s benefits and bonus programs. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills and experience.
