How you'll contribute
A Director of Outpatient Services who excels in this role:
  • Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
Education:
  • A Master's degree in Behavioral Health is required, along with an independent clinical license, such as an LCSW or LPC.

Certifications:
  • BLS.

Skills & Experience:
  • Business Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages and to interpret graphs.
  • Moderate Computer Skills - Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, and similar applications. Ability to create, maintain, and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support business objectives.
  • Complex Communication - Frequently communicates complex information and interacts with management. Ability to present information, resolve issues, and address delicate situations. Ability to motivate and persuade others.
  • Varied Business Problems - Addresses varied and complex problems requiring analysis and interpretation. Solves problems using knowledge and skills, established precedents, and standard practices.
  • Department Specific - Makes decisions that impact the management and operations of the department. May contribute to business and operational decisions affecting the department.
