SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Copilot Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and enhancing features related to AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot within the enterprise ecosystem. Your expertise will help us unlock the full potential of Microsoft's AI-driven solutions, automating workflows, improving team productivity, and delivering exceptional user experiences.
As a hands-on expert in Copilot technologies powered by Azure OpenAI Service, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging Microsoft 365 integrations, APIs, and advanced AI models to create cutting-edge solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, customize, and deploy Microsoft Copilot features to meet organizational needs across applications like Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
  • Leverage Microsoft's AI technologies, including Azure OpenAI Service, to design and implement advanced productivity solutions tailored for business users.
  • Identify automation opportunities within workflows and integrate Copilot tools to enhance team efficiency and performance.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to define requirements and deploy AI-driven experiences.
  • Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot Copilot integrations within enterprise environments to ensure seamless operation.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (4 years of equivalent work experience in lieu of degree) plus 14 years of experience with Microsoft technologies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust requiring U.S. Citizenship.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or AI/ML roles, preferably involving Microsoft products or cloud platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power Automate, and SharePoint.
  • Proficiency in Azure cloud services, specifically Azure OpenAI, Azure Functions, and integration methods.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs (Microsoft Graph API is a plus), RESTful services, and back-end integrations.
  • Proven record of designing and delivering AI-driven solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP) models such as GPT or other LLMs.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance standards (e.g., handling of sensitive data).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, or AI technologies (e.g., Azure AI Engineer Associate).
  • Experience with Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power BI.
