Description

The Hotel Front Desk Agent is responsible for assisting guests with check-in and checkout, answers and processes all phone calls received and handles all special requests for services or information in accordance with Cooper Hotel policies and procedures.
Full Time: Shift Varies, 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Warmly greet and register guests, providing directions and information about campus services.
  • Assist guests with inquiries related to both campus and hotel amenities.
  • Serve as a concierge, offering helpful recommendations and local information as requested.
  • Accurately process and post daily inter-company charges.
  • Complete all shift-related duties and securely deposit any cash collected.
  • Generate daily reports for Cooper Hotel operations.
  • Manage guest reservations received via fax or email in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Address guest concerns and escalate to the Administrative Assistant or Business Office Manager when needed.
  • Issue room keys using the Key Control Log and maintain proper security procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Administrative Assistant or Business Office Manager.
  • Actively support and participate in the organization's culture and values.
  • Maintain consistent, regular, and reliable on-site attendance.
  • Fulfill other tasks as assigned to support overall team success.

Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and master other complex software systems.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and exhibit sound judgement.

Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of direct face to face customer engagement experience.
  • Hotel experience preferred, boutique hotel experience a plus.

Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods of standing at a desk and working on a computer, telephone and radio.
  • Must be able to lift up to and occasionally move up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently required to stand and walk on our campus.
