Sandis is currently looking for a Project Engineer to join our team in Campbell, CA. Our ideal candidate has strong technical abilities, experience in land development project design, and the ability to assist in leading a team of engineers on exciting projects throughout California. Cool Stuff you get to do:

  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to solve engineering challenges and create construction documents
  • Understand project design and development for grading, stormwater treatment, and utility systems from the planning phase through construction.
  • Preparation of specifications, research investigations, reports.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of technical work in portions of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope across multiple projects.
  • Coordinate with the design team, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Track and monitor approvals from agencies, Additional Service Requests, and contract approvals.
  • Ability to adjust site plans to meet requirements and provides recommendations for more effective layouts.
  • Reviews the entire project, including design done by others, before QA/QC review.
  • Ability to effectively mentor, delegate, and lead Design Engineers.

What will help you be successful:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 4+ years’ experience in project design (Land Development Design)
  • Professional Engineers license, or EIT, and actively working towards obtaining PE
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology modeling programs, and storm drainage programs.
  • Excellent understanding of precise grading, utility plans and stormwater management.
  • Ability to problem-solve grading aspects and balance earthwork when needed
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced and professional environment.
