Description
Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility provides skilled long term and short-term care to residents in a beautiful household environment. We are accepting applications for new employees that are seeking employment as a Household Assistant in our dietary department within the facility. Dietary experience is a plus but not required.
Household Assistant positions are currently available on the day shift: 7am-7pm.
Eligible for benefits after 30/90 calendar day probationary period is completed. We offer a generous benefit package!

Other Compensation:
  • Other Compensation includes .85 per our State Funded COVID pay. **Subject to State Legislation Renewal.

Compensation incentives include additional 4 hours at regular rate of pay for each additional 4 hour block that is picked up (double time), plus time and a half, if eligible.
Requirements
  1. DINING SERVICES (cook, kitchen assistant, kitchen and dining activities)
  2. Prepares high quality food in accordance with all pertinent safety and health regulations, guidelines and standards.
  3. Follows menus and recipes correctly, making any necessary or requested substitutions appropriately.
  4. Understands liberalized therapeutic diets and special food requirements and finds ways to make such modifications palatable and enjoyable.
  5. Assists with taking inventory of, storing and ordering household grocery supplies
  6. Regularly elicits resident's direction in choices of foods, menus, recipes and presentation
  7. Maintains equipment and cooking area to ensure safety and sanitation requirements are met; keeps a clean, tidy and organized kitchen in compliance with all regulations; cleans when necessary' reports repair and maintenance needs appropriately
  8. Takes temperatures of foods and equipment and maintains proper documentation for regulatory compliance
  9. Helps prepare and serve appropriate snacks and meals
  10. Assists residents with set up with meals. Certification in good handling is very strongly recommended.
  11. Facilities mealtime conversations and maintains a warm, pleasant atmosphere while elders are eating.
  12. Facilitates kitchen related activities for residents; ensures that necessary supplies, equipment and utensils are available; organizes any necessary cleanup activities.
  13. Consistently follows standard principles of sanitation and universal precautions to preserve food quality and prevent the transmission of foodborne illness.
