Job description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals according to our menu. This is a Full-Time Temporary position. The Cook will be responsible for following Bay Haven's standardized recipes, cooking and presenting food, and assisting in maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen.
Qualifications:

  • Journeyman/Cook papers preferred.
  • Institutional cooking experience, or restaurant cooking experience, with good working knowledge of Canada's food guide to healthy eating, knowledge of regular therapeutic diets, and the basic principles of sanitation and food preparation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review regular and therapeutic menus
  • set up equipment and supplies for food preparation
  • Provide for prescribed diets, including variations in texture
  • Ensure meals are served on time, at the appropriate temperatures, covered when necessary, in portion-controlled quantities

Shift is 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
30 hours per two-week pay period
