Job description

Hotel Arts is currently looking for a Pastry Chef de Partie to join our Culinary team!. We are looking for someone who will consistently provide quality and production daily in an organized and effective manner. This chef will primarily be working to provide excellent culinary service for our in-house and catered events.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the production of pastry department and work along with Pastry Chef.
  • Order, inventory and store ingredients needed for pastry team and main kitchen
  • Create and prepare pastries, breads and desserts for restaurants and all events.
  • Create and prepare amenities packages including chocolate work and mini sweets.
  • Train new staff, supervise and develop future pastry cook.
  • Assist and supports all kitchen staff by offering advice and direct assistance.

Job Requirements:

  • 4 to 5 years previous Pastry Chef de Partie / Pastry Cook experience
  • Previous experience in a hotel/restaurant environment
  • Diploma/Certification in a Culinary discipline an asset (Red Seal, Pastry & Baking)
  • 2 to 3 years previous banquet experience considered an asset
  • Must show creativity, enthusiasm, have high energy levels and be self-motivated
  • Must enjoy a fast paced environment and be a team player
  • Must have proven ability to developing and training staff members
  • Clear ability to solve problems and find solutions
  • Flexible weekly schedule based on the demands of our business level. (May include evening, weekend, holiday and overnight periods as needed

This is a full-time position for maternity leave coverage with a competitive salary and eligibility for bonuses upon achieving sales targets.
