Job Title: Cook Location: Georgia Regional Hospital Savannah Schedule: Monday - Friday Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner for meal service periods Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, grills, steamers, and fryers Assist with menu planning and portion control as needed Coordinate with food service staff to ensure smooth meal service Maintain a clean and organized kitchen work area Adhere to all safety, infection control, and health department regulations Requirements Requirements: At least 1 year of cooking experience in a restaurant, cafeteria, healthcare facility, or similar setting Knowledge of food safety principles and proper cooking techniques Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality ServSafe certification preferred but not required (training available) Must be available to work Monday - Friday as scheduled
