Responsibilities of Cook:

·        Prepare food according to selected menus and approved recipes.

·        Complete the preparation of all food items in a timely manner and assure that all foods meet the required serving temperatures

·        Comply with health, sanitation, safety, and food handling standards.

·        Adhere to quality and cost containment standards.

Qualifications of Cook:

·        Excellent customer service, communication skills, and the ability to multitask.

·        Ability to operate institutional kitchen equipment.

·        Knowledge of quantity cooking.  

·        ServSafe certified

·        One (1) year dietary/food service experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred
