The 365-bed facility is one of the largest free-standing psychiatric hospitals in the United States. We are located on a serene 37-acre campus in northeast Shelby County, serving as the setting for the treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors. Lakeside’s comprehensive programs treat disorders such as bipolar disorder, psychological trauma, depression and anxiety, mental illness and addictive disease disorders such as alcoholism, drug addiction and substance abuse.

Job Description

Assists the CEO in the development and implementation of the mission, goals and objectives of the facility as established by the governing body. Assumes responsibility for managing the daily operations of the facility, ensures compliance with hospital, JCAHO, federal, state, local and other regulating agency standards and serves as Acting Administrator in the absence of the CEO.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Education:   Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, MSW, LPC or related behavioral health field

Experience:    Five years in a senior management position of an administrative/leadership level in the mental health care field.  Hospital experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification:   Not required.

Knowledge:   Must possess knowledge of organizational theory, decision-making processes, human resource and financial management, and marketing.  Must understand and act upon complex issues and problems, must communicate and interact effectively with a variety of people.
