Salary:$90,000 - $95,000 (non-exempt)

Position Type:Full-time, Hybrid (3 days in office)

Hours:9:30am - 5:30pm

Job Description:

SourceProSearch is seeking a Word Processing Operator to join the team in New York City. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing general document services assistance, including the preparation of complex legal documents, troubleshooting electronic files, and generating reports. This is a daytime role with a hybrid schedule, requiring the candidate to be in the office three days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and revise legal documents using Microsoft Office, ensuring accuracy and adherence to court or government agency requirements and firm guidelines
  • Generate Table of Contents, Table of Authorities, and merges in Word
  • Combine tracked changes from multiple authors
  • Transcribe audio or video recordings into text
  • Convert documents to and from Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat PDF
  • Add images, text, comments, and highlighting in PDFs, and insert, remove, and reorganize pages
  • Create and modify form fields in Adobe Acrobat
  • Assist with data entry and running reports from the conflicts management system
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor and/or Attorneys
  • Availability for overtime as needed

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Expert-level experience with MS Word
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • High proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro; working knowledge of Adobe CC a plus
  • Proficient in office equipment including computers, printers, scanners, copy machines, and telephones
  • Ability to work independently and follow oral and written instructions accurately
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Ability to work with deadline-sensitive assignments and rapidly changing priorities
  • Minimum 5 years of litigation experience in a law firm environment
