The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Position Summary:

Trader on the Convertible Bonds Trading Desk.  Will be responsible for market making, hedging, client runs management, valuation analysis, trade executions & settlement, running p/l, and other trading responsibilities.  This person will work with other traders in the group and will help to build our credit franchise. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide backup support to the senior Convertible Bonds trader on the desk, on an as needed basis.
  • Provide active markets for clients
  • Generate trade and market ideas internally to be conveyed to clients in order to generate PNL opportunities for the desk as well as build on existing client connectivity
  • Assist with monitoring both credit and interest rate risk for individual books and among the desk as a whole. Help to ensure the desk meets all compliance procedures and is appropriately aligned with our market view.
  • Generate daily reports to be sent firm wide, including: PNL, End of Day Recaps, Trade Volume reports, etc.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities on the desk as the franchise expands and deliver ad-hoc solutions when necessary

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 1 year prior sell-side Convertible Bonds trading experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability
  • Strong decision making skills, the ability to demonstrate sound judgment
  • A pro-active, motivated approach

The typical base pay range for this role is between $150K - $170K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
