What is a conversion rate optimization specialist?

A Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist is responsible for improving a website or digital platform’s ability to convert visitors into customers or leads. Senior Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) StrategistWordPress • UX • Landing Pages • User Behavior • Digital Performance

InnoVision Marketing Group

San Diego, CA | Full-Time | Mandatory In-Office

Your Responsibility Begins Where Most Digital Marketers Stop.

Advertising generates the click.

SEO generates the click.

Social media generates the click.

Public relations generates the click.

Our responsibility begins after the visitor arrives.

At InnoVision Marketing Group, proudly known as The Anti-Agency®, we already know how to drive traffic.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to turn more of that traffic into customers.

If you’re obsessed with landing pages, user behavior, WordPress websites, UX, analytics, experimentation, and continually improving conversion rates, this may be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

  • This is not a traditional digital marketing position.
  • This is not an email marketing role.
  • This is not a CRM management position.
  • This is not a paid media position.

We’re looking for a true Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Strategist whose passion is understanding why visitors do or don’t convert, then using data, testing, and user experience to improve measurable business outcomes.

Why This Opportunity Is Different

Most CRO positions focus on optimizing one website or one product. Not this one.

At InnoVision, you’ll become the conversion optimization leader across a diverse portfolio of brands spanning hospitality, gaming, healthcare, legal, restaurants, retail, professional services, education, and more.

  • Every client presents a different challenge.
  • Every website tells a different story.
  • Every improvement has measurable business impact.

If you enjoy solving complex digital puzzles and seeing your recommendations come to life, you’ll thrive here.

Your Mission

Your mission is simple. Make every click worth more.

You’ll help our clients generate more leads, more customers, and more revenue by continuously improving the digital experience after the click.

Success isn’t measured by activity. It’s measured by results.

What You’ll OwnConversion Rate Optimization

  • Own conversion optimization across websites, landing pages, lead-generation funnels, and digital experiences.
  • Identify friction preventing visitors from converting.
  • Improve landing page conversion rates through data-driven recommendations.
  • Optimize messaging hierarchy, calls-to-action, page layouts, trust signals, offers, and user flow.
  • Increase both lead quality and conversion rates.
  • Develop ongoing optimization roadmaps for multiple client accounts.
  • Prioritize opportunities based on measurable business impact.

WordPress Strategy & Website Performance

Most of our client websites are built on WordPress. Our web developers build exceptional websites.

We need someone who understands WordPress well enough to recognize how those websites can perform even better.

You won’t be responsible for building websites.

You’ll be responsible for making them perform better.

Responsibilities include:

  • Audit WordPress websites through the lens of conversion optimization and user experience.
  • Identify opportunities to improve page structure, navigation, content hierarchy, forms, calls-to-action, trust elements, mobile responsiveness, and overall user flow.
  • Review landing pages and website experiences for conversion opportunities.
  • Develop clear, prioritized recommendations for our web development team.
  • Collaborate closely with developers throughout website redesigns and optimization initiatives.
  • Review wireframes, mockups, and staging sites to ensure conversion best practices are incorporated before launch.
  • Serve as the conversion optimization expert during website planning and development.
User Behavior & Analytics

Data tells us what happened. Behavior tells us why.

You’ll regularly utilize:

  • GA4
  • Heatmaps
  • Session recordings
  • Scroll maps

  • Funnel visualization
  • User journey analysis

Experience with platforms such as:
