As a Senior CRO Manager - Organic Search, you'll lead full-funnel testing and optimization initiatives focused on search engine visibility and performance across Rocket's digital properties, including emerging AI Search capabilities. You'll partner closely with SEO managers, content growth teams, and product teams to design and execute sophisticated A/B and multivariate tests that drive measurable impact on organic search results and business outcomes. Your deep expertise in experimentation methodology, technical acumen, AI automation, and curiosity will shape how we test schema changes, content strategies, and user experience enhancements across both traditional and AI-powered search channels. You'll mentor junior team members and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership, driving innovation in how we approach SEO testing and optimization.

About the role

  • Lead full-funnel experimentation and optimization across organic search & direct traffic channels, running experiments through the complete customer journey for Rocket Mortgage storefronts and partner properties including Redfin

  • Design and execute A/B, multivariate, and time-based tests focused on SEO impact, including schema markup changes, content variations, and technical optimizations that influence search engine visibility and AI Search performance

  • Collaborate with SEO managers, content growth teams, and product teams to identify high-impact testing opportunities and translate SEO insights into actionable experiments

  • Build and design experiments using web performance platforms such as Amplitude and Optimizely, with hands-on technical aptitude and ability to work in the weeds of implementation

  • Measure and analyze the impact of SEO-related changes over time, accounting for market noise and external factors that may influence organic search performance

  • Possess deep knowledge of experimentation methodology and determine the most appropriate testing approach based on unique circumstances and constraints of each context

  • Mentor junior team members on testing best practices, CRO fundamentals, and advanced experimentation techniques, including the use of AI tools to enhance experiment design & administer tests

About you

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in conversion rate optimization (CRO), performance marketing, or organic search roles

  • Demonstrated expertise with web performance and testing platforms such as Optimizely, Amplitude, or similar tools

  • Proven track record of running A/B and multivariate tests with strong understanding of experimentation methodology and statistical measures

  • Deep knowledge of SEO principles, search engine ranking factors, and organic search behavior

  • Advanced proficiency with web analytics tools and the ability to work with large, complex datasets

  • Power user of AI tools such as Claude, Gemini & ChatGPT

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, design, technology, data science, or a related field

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing full-funnel user journeys from organic search through conversion

  • Hands-on experience building and designing experiments from the ground up

  • Familiarity with AI Search, including Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), or Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies and best practices

  • Familiarity with AI tools and techniques for experiment design and optimization

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including SEO, content, product, and engineering

  • Knowledge of schema markup, structured data, and technical SEO implementations

  • Experience optimizing for multiple digital properties or storefronts
