What is a conversion analyst?

Conversion Analysts are professionals who analyze data related to website or app user behavior to identify opportunities for improving conversion rates. Their primary goal is to understand why users take or do not take desired actions, such as making a purchase or signing up for a newsletter. By using tools like A/B testing, funnel analysis, and user feedback, they recommend changes to optimize the user experience and increase conversions. Conversion Analysts collaborate with marketing, design, and development teams to implement and track the effectiveness of these changes.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a conversion analyst?

To thrive as a Conversion Analyst, you need strong analytical skills, experience with data analysis, and a background in marketing or business, often supported by a relevant degree. Familiarity with web analytics tools (such as Google Analytics), A/B testing platforms, and conversion optimization software is typically required. Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help you collaborate with teams and present actionable insights. These competencies are crucial for driving data-informed decisions that improve user experience and increase conversion rates.

How does a conversion analyst collaborate with marketing and product teams to improve user conversion rates?

As a Conversion Analyst, you'll frequently work alongside marketing and product teams to identify areas where user experience or messaging can be optimized for better conversion rates. This involves analyzing user behavior data, running A/B tests, and presenting actionable insights during cross-functional meetings. Collaboration is key: you may help design experiments with product managers and translate findings into clear recommendations for marketers to implement. Job description

About Suno
We're building the world's first creative entertainment platform, where the entire world can feel the joy and fulfillment of making music. Music is for everyone: Our users include everyone from grandmothers creating songs for their loved ones, to Grammy winners using Suno Studio, our power tool, to make the most popular hits in the world.
Building the future of entertainment requires ambition. The pace is fast, the problems are hard, and the work demands ownership and intensity. For the right people, it's incredibly rewarding: a chance to shape a new medium, work with a small team that cares deeply about quality, make music, drink too much coffee, and build something that millions of people use to express themselves in ways that were never before possible.
Suno is the fastest growing consumer entertainment company and the leader in AI music. We are backed by leading investors including Bond Capital, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, IVP, Forerunner, Union Square Ventures, Alkeon, Quiet, Matrix Partners, Schroders Capital and, NVentures (venture arm of NVIDIA).
Founded in 2023 by Harvard alumni with a shared passion for music, Suno has quickly grown to 250 employees while empowering more than 100 million people to create original songs. In 2026, we raised a $400 million Series D at a $5.4 billion valuation to continue building innovative products that amplify creativity and imagination.
About the Role
We're making our first CRO hire to own conversion at Suno, across web and the app stores. You'll sit on the Growth team at the point where our marketing spend turns into revenue: the landing pages, app store listings, funnels, and copy people hit after they click an ad, land from search, or find us in the App Store.
This is a performance job. You'll live in the numbers - conversion rate, install rate, CAC, revenue per visitor - and tie every test you run back to what it did for the business. You'll own the strategy and the copy, build pages and listings from our existing design system, and ship experiments at a pace that surprises people. You'll understand our ideal customer better than anyone in the building - who they are, what brings them to Suno, and what makes them convert - and shape every page, listing, and test around that.
You'll partner with User Acquisition, Lifecycle, Product, Engineering, and Data Science, and you'll work within our existing design system rather than in Figma yourself - grab a template, own the copy and the test, and ship. Conversion is yours to run. This is a senior IC role with real ownership and no team to manage. We want a hacker: someone scrappy and relentless who finds the fast path, ships more tests than anyone thinks is possible, and cares about learning fast and at scale more than about building the perfect system.
Listen to the song we made about it: https://suno.com/s/vVeA30cOueLXfw8R
What You'll Do
  • Understand our ideal customer more deeply than anyone else here, and turn that into pages, listings, copy, and tests that actually speak to them
  • Ship a high volume of landing pages across paid, SEO, lifecycle, partnerships, and new launches, assembled from our existing design system and tailored to the channel and audience each serves
  • Own app store optimization: the listing copy, screenshots, and store creative that turn store visits into installs, and the handoff into onboarding
  • Localize and adapt pages and store listings for our international markets, so conversion holds up across languages and regions
  • Write persuasive, on-brand copy and build pages from our existing design components, then test your way to better versions fast
  • Run experiments at real volume: A/B and multivariate tests shipped quickly, using AI and whatever scrappy tooling gets you more shots on goal than the team could hit by hand
  • Dig into user behavior with heatmaps, session recordings, surveys, and analytics to find where people drop off and why
  • Hunt down the highest-leverage opportunities across the funnel by combining performance data, user research, and business context
  • Own the conversion numbers end to end across web and app: conversion rate, install rate, CAC, and revenue per visitor, paid and organic
  • Partner with Revenue Product on paywall and upsell copy, keeping it clear and true to what people are getting
  • Push conversion testing to a volume and speed Suno hasn't seen, and pull the rest of the company along with what you learn

Qualifications
  • You're a hacker. You move fast and ship a lot, and you've run a high volume of tests without a big team behind you
  • 5-8 years in performance marketing, growth marketing, or CRO. You've owned conversion and funnel testing at scale, on the web and in the app stores (including ASO)
  • You can write. You've written landing page copy that actually converted, and you know the customer well enough to know what to say to them
  • You can read an experiment and know what it's telling you. We use Statsig internally, so you're comfortable pulling results, judging significance, and deciding what to do next
  • You know the landing page toolkit. You've built and tested pages in tools like Optimizely, VWO, or Unbounce, and watched behavior in Clarity or Hotjar
  • You set your own KPIs and run your own analysis. You can take user data and research and turn it into a test plan that ties back to the business
  • You use AI to get more done than one person normally could
  • You can tell a real win from a cheap trick, and you won't ship dark patterns. You work well with product and engineering and get changes live without slowing everyone down

Additional Notes
Applicants must be eligible to work in the US, and willing to work 5 days/week at our office in NYC.
Compensation
$160k - $190k base salary (before equity)
Perks & Benefits for Full-Time Employees
  • Company Equity Package
  • 401(k) with 3% Employer Match & Roth 401(k)
  • Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance (PPO w/ HSA & FSA options)
  • 11 Paid Holidays + Unlimited PTO & Sick Time
  • 16 Weeks of Paid Parental Leave
  • Creative Education Stipend
  • Generous Commuter Allowance
  • In-Office Lunch (5 days per week)
