Description:

DC Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Control Systems Designer to join our team!


Knowledge of control systems and AutoCAD Electrical experience and the ability to work within a team as well as autonomously is required at this level. The ideal candidate should have a proficient level of familiarity with control schematics, control panel layout, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and instrumentation.


Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Control systems design including direct interaction with internal engineers and external clients to develop construction documents.
  • Perform detailed controls design based on concepts provided by the engineers for construction documents while maximizing the use of AutoCAD Electrical and other design tools.
  • Serve as lead controls designer on small to medium scale projects.
  • Work as a team with drafters, designers, engineers, and systems integrators to develop and implement projects successfully.
  • Competent using MS Office based software including Excel
  • Adhere to project schedules and budgets

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of controls design experience
  • Required: AutoCAD experience
  • Preferred: AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN experience
  • Preferred: Automation/Controls Technology Degree
  • Approximately 5% maximum travel typical, but dependent on specific projects.
  • Ability to work in the field on job sites investigating field conditions for new projects and developing as-built drawings at the end of projects.
