Job description

The primary job function of the Controls Hardware Engineer will be to work in several aspects of industrial controls engineering. This will involve electrical schematic design, coordinate designs and implementation with Software and Functional Safety teams and supporting the designs throughout the machine build process.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Understand and perform all controls hardware engineering tasks
  • Support Senior Designers and Project Engineers
  • Generate electrical schematics and supporting files
  • Evaluation of customer specifications and their impact to GROB’s products
  • Apply international (IEC, ISO) and national (NFPA) standards

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 years of experience in the following:
    • Electrical design
    • Industrial wiring practices
    • Knowledge of EPLAN design software

General Requirements:

  • Self-motivated and team player
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong math skills and understanding of basic electrical circuits
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Willing to travel domestic and international (to customer sites, less than 5%)
  • Ability to secure and maintain a valid passport
