This is where you'll excel
  • Subject matter expert on Sputtering Components products
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal engineering teams to ensure customer control needs aredefinedand the correct products, features, and/or services are created and offered
  • Designs, develops, and qualifies all aspects of control systems requirements, interfaces, and integration
  • Provide product support at customer and rep sites –controls integration, installation, training, and service
  • Promote Sputtering Components products
  • Maintain expert knowledge of our products – Controls, Design, Build, Test, Performance, Installation, Operation, Troubleshooting, Service, Upgrades, Failure Analysis, Spare Parts, and Reliability
  • Define, develop, and implement the required interfaces to customer electrical control systems
  • Drive product improvements –enhanced features, improved reliability, reduced failure modes, and customer requested performance/interface attributes
  • Develop and implement internal procedures for quality assurance of electrical systems
  • Participate in the development of new products and applications
  • Deliver product training internally and externally
  • Provide technical service and sales support at customer sites
  • Additionaltechnical projects as assigned
These are the skills you'll need
  • 4-year Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree or equivalentpreferred
  • 3+ years' work experience in PLC/FW/SW/Controls engineering
  • Knowledge of PLC communication protocols
  • Experience withSolidWorksDesignand SolidWorks Electrical
  • Knowledge ofelectrical control systemsand interfaces for industrial vacuum technologies
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Must have great organizational skills and be able to multitask across products and sites
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentations skills
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%
