Job description

Summary
MS Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer with an active Q Clearance to provide hands-on support for manufacturing equipment. This position will focus on troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and control system issues. Experience with Allen-Bradley or similar platforms is highly desirable. This is an immediate need, and candidates who are available to start quickly are encouraged to apply.
Location: Onsite in Oak Ridge, TN
Salary: Depending on Experience
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose control system and manufacturing equipment issues.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to identify and resolve equipment failures.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, control panels, sensors, instrumentation, motor controls, and related equipment.
  • Review and modify PLC programming and control logic as needed.
  • Support equipment startup, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
  • Review electrical and controls drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Work with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and operations personnel to resolve equipment issues.
  • Document system modifications and technical resolutions.

Qualifications
  • Active Q Clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting industrial controls and manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with PLC-based control systems.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley or similar platforms is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of HMIs, instrumentation, sensors, motor controls, and industrial communications.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and control schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
