Position Overview
Title: Controls Engineer
Overview
Our skilled trade professionals use their hands-on technical and mechanical abilities to work on a variety of unique equipment for our industry. We are looking for motivated individuals who have the strong ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and the desire to make tomorrow better than today. PADNOS recognizes the demand for skilled trades, so we are teaming with educators to develop partnerships and create hands-on programs for students and individuals. The Controls Engineer at PADNOS can work on a wide variety of equipment and tasks throughout our over 20 locations. This position is an in-office (not remote) position.
Accountabilities
  • Capital project execution.
  • Electrical system continuous improvement and R&D.
  • Controls development of electrical team and apprentices.
  • Standardization of controls logic and component hardware.
  • Project management.
  • Budget estimating.
  • Schedule and budget compliance.
  • Vendor and subcontractor purchase order and terms management.
  • Support controls, automation, or system troubleshooting of PADNOS equipment.
  • Oversight of electrical scope of large-scale system improvements, electrical R&D, and new installations.
  • Own electrical portion of project scope definition, budget creation, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate with PADNOS team and subcontract suppliers/vendors to execute projects on time and on budget.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • Proficient in controls and latter logic development/maintenance.
  • Ability to provide clear and detailed information to the team about project analysis and design.
  • Licensed Electrician preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Financial Literacy.
  • Must be able to work in the office.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lb
